1. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the shop:

• Order information — your name, shipping address, email, and what you bought, so we can fulfill your order.
• Email address — if you join The Footnotes, our newsletter, we use it to send you exactly that. Unsubscribe anytime.
• Basic site analytics — pages visited and general device information, to help us understand what's working.

2. What we never do

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We never see your full payment card number — payments are processed by our payment provider, which handles card data under industry-standard security (PCI DSS).

3. Service providers

We share the minimum necessary information with the services that run the shop: our payment processor (to charge you), our email platform (to send The Footnotes and order updates), and shipping carriers (to deliver your candles). Each is bound by its own privacy obligations.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies to keep your cart working and to understand site traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser, though the cart may misbehave without them.

5. Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we're legally required to keep, such as order and tax records). Email hello@doorsat7co.com and we'll take care of it. Residents of Washington, California, and other states with privacy laws may have additional rights; we honor them for everyone.

6. Data retention & security

We keep order records as long as tax and accounting law requires, and newsletter subscriptions until you unsubscribe. We use industry-standard safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure — if a breach ever affects your data, we'll tell you promptly.

7. Children

Our shop is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

8. Changes

If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a fresh date. Continued use of the shop after changes means you accept them.
