Scent Layering With Wax Melts
How to use wax melts to scent more than one room, try new combinations, and get more from your favorite candles.

Wax melts are small pieces of scented wax you warm in a wax warmer instead of lighting a wick. They are an easy way to try a scent, fill a second room, or layer scents together.
Why use wax melts
- No flame, so they work in places you would not leave a candle burning. - You can switch scents whenever you like. - They let you enjoy a favorite scent in more than one room at once.
Scent layering, room by room
Layering means using two related scents in nearby spaces so your home feels connected. For example, burn **Basic Witch** in the kitchen and melt **Amuck!** in the living room for a warm, orchard-and-pie feeling throughout. Or pair **Apparition** in the bedroom with **Collywobbles** (lavender, chamomile, patchouli, balsam) in the bathroom for a calm, fresh evening.
Mixing melts in one warmer
You can put two different melts in the same warmer. Start small: one piece of each. Pair scents that share something, like two warm scents or a warm scent with a woody one. Avoid mixing two very strong sweet scents, which can get heavy.
How to use them
Put one or two pieces in the dish of a wax warmer and turn it on. When the scent fades, remove the old wax and add fresh pieces. Never add water, and never leave a warmer on when you leave the house.
Every candle scent we make is also available as wax melts, in a set of 3 for $7 or a set of 5 for $10.
